Influence of caliber mismatch on patients’ clinical course after sleeve lobectomy

Respiratory complications are critical events after sleeve lobectomy. A caliber mismatch is an important factor in wound healing at the anastomotic site. This study aimed to determine influence of mismatches on patients’ clinical courses We investigated 56 patients with primary lung cancer who underwent pulmonary resection end-to-end bronchoplasty. Anastomoses between main bronchus and segmental, right upper or middle bronchus, trunks intermedius segmental categorized as “anastomosis mismatch”. Among patients, 22 bronchoplasty mismatch. Significant apparent mismatch, especially low BMI have high complications. Appropriate patient selection cautious perioperative management mandatory this type lung-preserving surgery.
